Dr. Devries Describes His Practice

"My practice is unique because:

1) I am a cardiologist focused exclusively on prevention. More and more people are looking to be proactive in taking steps to prevent disease and stay healthy-especially if they know they are at risk based on family history, high cholesterol, etc.

2) I evaluate specialized blood tests that go beyond routine cholesterol studies. These specialized tests often identify serious risks completely missed by conventional bloodwork. Most importantly, these newly identified risks are often treatable with natural options.

3) I am open to, and encourage the use of "natural" treatments whenever possible-including nutritional choices and supplements-in addition to conservative use of medication. I have been very successful in treating a wide variety cholesterol problems with natural approaches. My openness to using natural options has been especially helpful to patients who have had problems with medication in the past or those interested in attempting alternatives before considering medication."
